Bill King has has been a campus pastor since coming to Tech in 1984. He grew up in South Carolina and graduated from Furman University. While in grad school at LSU he became Lutheran and decided to pursue ordained ministry rather than a Ph.D in political science.
Bill likes historical novels, crosswords, tennis, and movies of all types.
In addition to his work with students Bill serves as one of the pastors of Luther Memorial Lutheran church and is Assistant Director for Campus Ministry Program Resources for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Joanna Stallings has been one of the pastors since 1995. She splits her time between Lutheran Campus Ministry at Virginia Tech and her responsibilities at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. She grew up in Pennsylvania, but has lived most of her adult life in either North Carolina or Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from Radford University and did her graduate work at Duke Univesrity Divinty School.
Joanna enjoys long distance cycling, reading, knitting, and most anything that happens outside.
