Bible Study and On-Line Discussion
Face to Face—On-Line—Your Choice!
This semester you have several ways to enter into some serious discussion about faith issues:
- Sermon on the Mount Bible Study (Wednesdays beginning Sept. 2, 8:00, in the Lutheran Campus Center—The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) is one of the most familiar—and challenging—blocks of Jesus' teaching. Here you find the Beatitudes, some radical words on non-violence, harsh warnings about sex, guidance on prayer, and some amazing words of comfort. We will take the fall semester to work through these three chapters, allowing plenty of time for questions and reflection.
- "Wittenberg Square" Facebook Group—Luther kicked off the Reformation by daring to ask some hard questions about God and what the Church had become. He posted some questions on the Wittenberg church door and called for a debate. In keeping with that tradition each week Pastor Bill King will post some quotations and reflections on God, discipleship, culture, and the life of faith—along with some comments which he hopes will prompt some discussion. Join the group and join the conversation.
- Luther Forum--This adult Sunday School class will be studying the gospel of John and the letter I John during the fall semester, 9:45 in the Lutheran Campus Center.
- "God Talk" Blog--Respond to the blog postings on this web site
